This week’s edition of FFI Practitioner concludes our series of podcasts featuring interviews with the 2020 FFI Achievement Award recipients. Thank you to Jordan Rich and Kathryn McCarthy, the recipient of the Richard Beckhard Practice Award, for this podcast, in which Kathryn reflects on what it means to receive the award and on the evolving role of family offices.

Kathryn McCarthy is currently a family wealth and family office advisor. She is a director of the Rockefeller Trust Company (NY) and serves on its Audit Committee. She was the founding President of Marujupu, LLC, the family office of the Sulzberger family, owners of the New York Times. Kathryn is also a frequent lecturer at academic institutions including Columbia University, New York University Graduate Schools of Business, and Imperial College. In October, she will co-present the session “Blind Spot: Family office and investment governance” at the FFI Global Conference.

Jordan Rich is celebrating a quarter century at one of America’s top legacy radio stations, interviewing thousands of celebrities, authors, actors and interesting personalities throughout his career. Jordan is co-owner of Chart Productions Inc, and also teaches voice-over acting. His main focus these days is in podcast creation and production, featuring conversations with the world’s most creative people.
