Continuing in our 30th Anniversary Year series, The Practitioner is pleased to bring you examples of the latest thinking and activities of Barbara Hollander Award recipients. These recipients were all honored for their love of learning and devotion to education in the spirit of the founding president of FFI.


Carmen Bianchi (2012) serves as a GEN (Global Education Network) faculty member and will be participating this month in FFI’s first ever online simultaneous translation of a GEN course into Chinese!

Salo Grabinsky (2005) writes about Gender Equality in Family Businesses in Dinero En Imagen.

Judy Green (2008) reminds us why FFI is really an institute in an article recently published in Tharawat magazine and deconstructs an FBR article in this précis for The Practitioner.

Paul Karofsky (1998) continues his educational bent by serving as the program co-chair for the FFI Miami conference as well as writing for The Practitioner with “An Interview with Mitzi Perdue.”

Kim Schneider Malek (2014) discusses succession, governance, continuity, and family unity in this video. She will also be the guest presenter at the March 24th meeting of the Midwest Chapter as the Joe Henry Family goes on the road!

Greg McCann (2006) will present on “Vertical Leadership in Family Enterprise: Agility, community building and innovation” in Miami this October at the annual FFI global conference.

Pramodita Sharma (2011) is adding to her many accomplishments with an “Honorary Doctor” from Jönköping University, an award she will receive in May. To read her most recent editorial in FBR.
