In this week’s edition, we are pleased to continue our series of podcasts featuring interviews with the 2020 FFI Achievement Award recipients. In this week’s podcast, Andrew Hier, the recipient of the Interdisciplinary Award, reflects on the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to family enterprise advising and how his own background as an attorney has contributed to his current advisory skills.
Andrew Hier, FFI Fellow, is a senior advisor and partner at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise and a fellow at Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise. Both organizations comprise Cambridge Family Enterprise Group, a global organization devoted to helping families achieve multigenerational success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth. He is a facilitator in two programs at the MIT Sloan School of Management and served as a facilitator and guest lecturer at Harvard Business School. He is also a member of FFI GEN faculty, teaching “Tools for Positive Change in Family Business Systems: Analysis and application.” Earlier in his career, Andrew was CEO of a global apparel company.
Jordan Rich is co-owner of Chart Productions Inc, a highly respected audio production agency. His voice is heard on hundreds of narrations and commercials throughout the country. He also teaches voice-over acting. Jordan’s main focus these days is in podcast creation and production, including his own personal podcast, “On Mic with Jordan Rich,” featuring conversations with the world’s most creative people.
